Nina Korelitz Matza, founding partner and creator of the Whomi Organized Agenda, was interviewed recently on the Today Show, as part of a story about a new book entitled The Over-Achievers: The Secret Lives of Driven
The experts are advising us, as parents, to create a balance in our children's lives. So- it's great if you want your child to learn Mandarin at age 3, because that is certainly a fantastic and unique opportunity. By all means, take him to the Dojo and let him develop body control, strength and respect.
Just make sure that when you look at the balance of activities in your kid's week, you see... Time to experiment. Time to be bored, so they can see where their imagination takes them. Time to follow their passions. Time to create dreams. Make sure you schedule that into your child's week!
